Road Logik Privacy Policy

Road Logik (“Road Logik,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information associated with your use of the Road Logik mobile application and related services.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Location Information

Road Logik uses your device location to provide core app functionality, including identifying roads within your selected search area, displaying your position on the map, and helping you discover nearby driving roads.

Depending on your device settings and the permissions you grant, Road Logik may access your approximate or precise location while you are using the app.

Road Logik does not require continuous background location tracking for its core road-discovery functionality unless a future feature specifically requires it and you separately grant the necessary permission.

You may disable location access at any time through your device settings, although certain Road Logik features may no longer function properly.

Device and Technical Information

We may collect limited technical information associated with your use of the app, such as:

  • Device type and operating system

  • App version and build number

  • General performance information

  • Crash and diagnostic information

  • Network or request errors

  • Technical information necessary to operate and improve the service

This information may be collected automatically by Road Logik or by service providers used to operate, distribute, monitor, or improve the app.

 Usage Information

We may collect information about how features within Road Logik are used, such as:

  • Search activity

  • Search radius and filter selections

  • Apex Score settings

  • Interaction with road results

  • Map and route-related actions

  • Feature usage

  • App performance and responsiveness

This information may be used to understand how Road Logik performs in real-world conditions and to improve the accuracy, reliability, and usability of the service.

Feedback and Communications

If you submit feedback, screenshots, bug reports, emails, or other communications to us, we may retain the information you provide in order to investigate issues, respond to you, and improve Road Logik.

During the TestFlight beta program, feedback may also be submitted through Apple’s TestFlight services.

2. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Provide Road Logik’s road-discovery and mapping functionality

  • Determine roads within your selected search area

  • Generate and display relevant road results

  • Improve Road Logik’s Apex Engine and road-discovery experience

  • Maintain and improve app reliability and performance

  • Diagnose crashes, errors, and technical problems

  • Evaluate beta-test results and user feedback

  • Improve features, user interface, and overall usability

  • Protect the security and integrity of Road Logik and its supporting services

  • Respond to user questions and support requests

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

Road Logik relies on third-party service providers to operate certain portions of the application and supporting infrastructure.

These providers may process limited information necessary to provide their services.

Road Logik currently may use services including:

  • Apple, including App Store and TestFlight services

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) for application hosting, backend infrastructure, data storage, logging, and related cloud services

  • Mapbox for mapping and map-related functionality

  • Expo / EAS for application development, build, and distribution infrastructure

These companies operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

Additional analytics, crash-reporting, mapping, hosting, or infrastructure providers may be used as Road Logik evolves. This Privacy Policy will be updated if our data practices materially change.

4. Location Data and Road Searches

Location information is used primarily to determine where to search for relevant roads and to present location-based results.

Road Logik may transmit location coordinates or geographic search parameters to its backend services in order to perform road searches.

We do not use location information to build advertising profiles or sell location data to advertisers.

5. Data Sharing

We may share information only when reasonably necessary to:

  • Operate Road Logik

  • Provide mapping, hosting, analytics, diagnostic, or infrastructure services

  • Investigate crashes or security incidents

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request

  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of Road Logik, its users, or others

  • Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business

We do not sell user information to third parties for advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operation of the service, troubleshooting, security, legal compliance, and product improvement.

Diagnostic logs, usage records, and beta-testing information may be retained for limited periods depending on operational requirements and the policies of the service providers involved.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information associated with Road Logik.

Road Logik uses encrypted HTTPS connections when communicating with its backend services.

However, no internet transmission, mobile application, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Choices

You may control certain types of information through your device settings.

For example, you may:

  • Enable or disable location access

  • Change Road Logik’s location permissions

  • Remove the application from your device

  • Disable certain device-level analytics or diagnostic sharing where supported by Apple

  • Contact us regarding privacy-related questions or requests

Restricting certain permissions may prevent some Road Logik features from operating correctly.

9. Children’s Privacy

Road Logik is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected improperly, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Driving Safety

Road Logik is intended to assist users in discovering roads and planning driving experiences.

Users should not interact with the application in a manner that distracts them while operating a vehicle. Always comply with local traffic laws and use Road Logik only when it is safe and legal to do so.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically as Road Logik evolves or as legal, technical, or business requirements change.

When material changes are made, the updated policy will be posted on the Road Logik website with a revised effective date.

Continued use of Road Logik following an update may be subject to the revised Privacy Policy.
